What is the trick in re-assembling the window motor? I have assembled the gearbox & armature & then tried to put the housing on but the magnets pull the armature out of the gearbox before I can get it assembled. I can’t see any way of assembling the armature to housing first & then being able to hold the brushes back whilst inserting into the housing.
I managed to do it using thin wire to hold back the brushes. Assemble the armature into the can first. Bend a length of thin stiff wire (garden wire will do) into a U shape and use it to pull back the brush into it’s housing then bend the tails of the U over the edge of the gearbox to secure it. Repeat for the other brush. Carefully assemble the gearbox over the armature as far as it will go and then pull out the wire releasing the brushes.
