Kinda said it all in the title. I am being inundated with notification of unread posts from ages ago.
I am unlocking the high volume/most popular topics and extending the auto close date. When I do this, it brings them up to the top of the reading queue.
Logic,
Most topics can auto close a year after the last reply. Some of our long running topics I am setting to autoclose 5 years after last post.
As usual, any post that is closed, can be easily reopened with a simple request.
