Wheels please / disaster!

Some 10 weeks ago I ordered some new wheels (in original S3 spec) and took an old one up for them to measure. Picked them up this week, then had a trip to get tyres fitted, only to find that they don’t fit, offset is wrong, seem to be 5" rather than 4.5. the rears interfere with the lower arms badly.
My problem is that this was my last job on an almost 2 year resto and I’ve booked a rolling road to get the injection sorted (I’m also on the list for a cancellation). (Purposely left it until I had the wheels in hand, so there would be no problems)
Now I’m left with some 60 year old badly pitted wheels which I’m not comfortable using with rock hard tyres, or a set of wheels which won’t fit with brand new CA67’s.
I don’t know what the wheel company are going to do, but I intended to drive the car this summer and am certainly not parking the car 10 weeks for another set. Therefore I am on the hunt for 4 x standard wheels to fit an S3 please, alternatively I’ll rent some (with a deposit of course) until I get something permanently sorted.
I’m in Northampton
I’ll elaborate on my experience with the wheel supplier when it reaches a conclusion.
Thanks
Tom

New in black, original in silver

I feel sorry for your experience but I am unable to help you out.

Are your wheels knock-on or 4-bolt? With 4 bolt is would be fairly easy to add spacers although I am not sure about tyre rubbing against the inner arches.

I have Revolution 4 spoke knock-ons that would have the same issue if not installed with these adaptors. They provide some 25mm clearance between rim and arm:

Knock on, if I could space them, then they would indeed hit the inner arches.

If you’re in Northampton then you’re not far from Neil Myers. He might be able to help with wheels or offer some advice. Have you been in touch with Neil before?

Mike

Thanks, don’t know Neil.
Wheels are being shipped back to the supplier tomorrow, they are definitely 5" between the rims, my order state 4.5"
I had the tyres removed today and put onto my shoddy old wheels which should keep my rolling road appointment at least.
