Hi All,
On this side of the pond, chassis replacement is not that common due to the effective doubling of the UK chassis price by the time you get the new chassis in your hot little hand. So, I need to get my slightly bent (but rust free) baby Elan chassis straightened by my local frame shop. (They come highly recommended).
When I look on page 4 of SECTION A - CHASSIS, (3 paragraphs before A.4 CHASSIS UNIT - REPLACEMENT) It says “Reference should be made to the critical dimensions shown on the general arrangement drawing (fig.1)”. However, in my (1976) copy of the shop manual there is no Fig.1. Neither is there a page 1 or 2. Section A.1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION starts on Pg. 3. This situation is repeated for all the various Elan and Plus 2 manuals my friend has.
Does anyone have a manual with the famous fig 1. in it ? If so please let me know the publication date etc. and I will try and find it locally. OTOH if you have access to a scanner it would be much appreciated it if you would scan in the famous fig 1 (high resolution please) and email it to me. Many thanks.
Regards,
Jon Bathmaker
