Well, got my engine dyno results off Paul Exon after fitting the QED 420 cams and having the head ported. And I’m very please with the results.

Looks very good to my untrained eye.
What exhaust was that running?
Thanks - Paddy
Hi there,
Its a standard two piece four into 2 into 1, with a 35mm bore. Looks like the standard one. Bought from PM’s about 5 years ago.
From the spread sheet it achieved its max torque at 5400rpm which was just above 135 lbs/ft. While a max power 150.4 bhp came at 6300rpm.
Well please… all thanks to Mr, Exon.
cheers
Interesting, having to mess around with huge manifold and exhaust always put me off doing anything like that …
Paddy
Thanks
Mark, is this a standard stroke engine?

Standard Sprint engine with just the head and cam modifications, plus the larger bore manifold. Re jetted to suit.
cheers
…mmm very nice. You don’t fancy getting Paul to fit Jenvey tb’s and engine management then ![]()
…is it well mannered?
Very impressive results for a standard displacement Sprint twinc.
150.4 HP @ 6300 is 199 psi bmep (13.7 bar)
135 ft-lbs torque is 214 psi bmep (14.75 bar)
It used to be that full out racing engines would be happy with those bmeps.

The bore is actyally +30… over standard.
The only size QED had when the engine was rebuilt 5 to 6 years ago.
cheers
and here it is on You Tube…
Blimey - That sounds savage!
Very nice
Robbie
Paul did my engine too, and it’s quite similar. Mine was a regular S/E engine, but ended up with 145HP at 6750 with a slightly more even spread of torque.
