And from the other. I counted 14. One of the Elan’s won “Best in Show”, pretty sure it was the green #26 at the left. We got outnumbered by the Emira’s though - there were at least 21 of them.
My friend Paul, who is now 92, purchased a basket case S2 more than 35 years ago. For various reasons, he was never able to get it to the finish line. He always wanted to bring it to a LOG, and with the help of Paul Jr, he was able to do that this weekend. Very fulfilling. Both Pauls are pictured.
What a difference from last year!!!
Last year we had about 3 or 4 Elans, a Plus2, a Europa and that was about it for the ‘Classic Lotus’!
My Elan was feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the Elises, Exiges and Emiras in Marble Falls.
Wish I could have made the trip up to PA this year….oh well.
The LOG organizers had a professional photographer wandering around at LOG - he took lots of pics all weekend. He was pretty much everywhere, all the time, so you tended to ignore him.
He got this pic of me likely putting something back in the glove box at the Concours. I just love the angle of this shot of the car, especially the reflections on the drivers door. Not so much the fit of the right headlight pod - maybe accentuated by the pivot bolt that was about to fully back out!
