On this day in 1968, the book ‘Jim Clark, Portrait of a Great Driver’ was published to support the Jim Clark Foundation. It was written by Graham Gauld who was the ghost writer of Jim’s 1963 autobiography and was launched a few days before at the British Grand Prix. Colin Chapman contributed a chapter and supplied a car with commemorative black badge for W H Smith’s (Britain’s largest bookshop) branch in Norwich.
