Hi All, I am Alex and fan of Lotus since the sixties. I drive a Caterham since 1988 and own a Elan S3SE DHC since 1992. The Elan was a basketcase / chickenshed and never drove since I bought it untill today and it will take another year before it will be on the road, I think. The mechanicals have been restored in as new condition in recent years and somewhere in 1995 a new body was bought at Miles Wilkins, but my career and other priorities were the reason that my elan ended in storage all that time. Now I am retired it’s time to put it on it’s wheels and two weeks ago it came back from the paintshop. They did a terrific job and the paintwork (UDT Laystall green) is on a showlevel: Perfect! I will post some pictures in the near future and if I run into trouble I will not hesitate to ask all of you for your opinion!
