I was cleaning up some old emails recently and came across the email that started LotusElan.net. I sent this request to the Chapman Era mailing list at autox.team. (yes, autox.team.net still has active mailing lists).

Responses:
A. Sta. Maria: I don’t believe there is any
Brent Engel: I have rather modified `67 and would be very willing to share my experiences with the rest of the virtual crew.
Paul Perkins: The silence on this list about your question is deafening. Did anyone answer the query? I’d be interested in such a site. I have some manuals, books, pictures that I’d cheerfully share with anyone looking to set up a website for the Elan…
Rod Bean: We Elan lovers really need this but no one has had the time to do it.
Joined sometime in 2000, shortly before I bought my Elan S3 DHC. Was living in Germany at the time, returned briefly to NZ to buy the Elan and put in storage until I returned permanently in 2001. My membership says 2003, so maybe I rejoined again later when I forgot my login details.
Didn’t get here until '06. Got the elan in '04 and spent the first two years on yahoo, not knowing any better. My elan would not be what it is today without this group. Thanks for asking the question, Jeff, and even more thanks for actually doing something about it. Dan
I am number 3 on the membership list. Joined Sep 11, 2003.
Still got the Elan.
I have to say Jeff deserves a massive thank you for starting and maintaining this.
Lotus Elan.Net is a fantastic forum with the most helpful members.
Well done and a huge thank you from me.
I joined Oct 2003, I didn’t realize it had only just started at that time.
its been a great forum with some interesting characters that have sadly gone over the years although some have also left in a huff.
You (&I) were here well before 2003 as it was because of elan.net we discovered we lived near each other. We then met up and attended several local classic car shows, The band of CLOG was created sometime in 2001 well after we met.
Yea I’m another who got here on 24 Sep 2003 12:06 pm I was on the autox mailing lists and also the web ring or what ever it was called. I recently joined the Lotus Elan group on facebook but left after I found it to be not very interesting.
