Lotus Elan parts in SoCal. Most have been in storage for 45 years or more. Time to clear them out.
Lotus Elan S4 gauges and dash components. Includes the Speedo, tach, gas gauge, water temp/oil pressure gauge (water temp gauge tube is broken), rocker switches, warning lights, hood and choke pulls, ash tray and glove box hinges, lock and pull. $650 plus shipping.
My offer is prices from 45 years ago, or, minus 512BB prices. In other words, negative Ferrari tax. You want to try owning one of these babies. And its got to have a belt service next year, at Bob Houghton’s. $$$$
Sidetracking a bit, would you please post a photo of the rear of the dash ? must admit I’m actually interested in finding out if it is original, as my '68 Fed S4 also had a hole for voltmeter, but no “hazard” central switch under the hashtray…
Here are the pictures you requested. I also had a '68 cpe, black emblem, and it did not have the hazard switch. I think this was a factory change in about 1970.
Thank you, the back side clearly shows originality. One thing I have not figured out so clearly is which cars had a red decals lettering on the dashboard…
So it seems that Federal cars, or at least some of them, would have had a voltmeter installed from new, I was dubious of that (and removed mine to install a low oil pressure big warning light ).
From my low mileage Fed car ('68 S4) which had the exact same voltmeter… (I’m not sure I still have it though, thought is was an add-on and did not care for it when I restored the car)
well, it’s gone now but mine was at the same location I suppose he put the 2 small gauges randomly for the photo (or this may have been done previously), the extra hole I’m talking about is between the radio and the glovebox.
