Heater Box Seals

I’ve completed my heater refurbishment and am now ready to fit it.

I would like to replace the round seal to the intake plenum and the bulkhead seal for the heater pipes - does anyone know if these are available (SJ don’t list them) or is there a trick to make your own?

Cheers

Jon

Have you tried Clive at Classic Team Lotus, if you mean the rubber grommet/seal through the bulkhead, they have those I believe. As for the plenum seal, do you mean the foam seal or the seal around the top of the plenum? I recall you can make the foam seal quite easily. SJ keep both and are on their website under Heater.

Hi Tony,

I mean the large circular foam seal that goes around the fan inlet and seals it to the bulkead, and the rectangular foam seal where the heater pipes pass through the bulkhead.

I’ve checked SJ again and don’t seem to see them?

Cheers

Jon

Jon, The circular one is 1/2" thick x 7/8" land, the one on the pipes is 1" thick. Looks like closed cell rubber- you could use tape for the large circle.
