Lets hope there is some electrical insulation in there somewhere, or the strap is a non-conductor.

I inherited a set of motoring books from my father that were published in the 1920s. I think they were aimed at apprentices starting out as motor mechanics. There were a number of projects for the trainee mechanic to do, teaching different basic workshop skills. The result of each project was a tool which would be useful in the mechanic’s later career.
One of the first projects was a battery lifting strap that looked almost identical to the picture above - although the instructions were clear that a leather strap had to be used. As the old expression goes, ‘there is nothing new under the sun’.

You are being a bit silly, someone will copy that thinking it is a good idea!

LOL If there’s someone on the forum that would consider doing that, they should be looking to trade for a good bicycle.
