Hi all,
I’m letting go of my Elan. I had the car for 2 years. This Elan is said to have been in California all its life before. The Elan is in excellent condition. The reason for selling is that simply I don’t drive enough. It is my weekend driver on nice day out. The car was stored in climate controlled storage during winter.

I wish I knew what type of aftermarket camshaft(s) the car has. It moves quite well, and as I want to add ‘hotter’ cams for mine I need to get some ideas of character.
@GElan Can you describe the character of the camshaft profile? Driveability? Peaky-ness? Idle charatceristics?

I don’t know the exact type of cam. But the engine was overhauled by renown Kampena shop in Sonoma, California. The engine work includes bigger valve too.
I would think that it’s based on Cosworth mod. Best is to reach out to Dave Bean and RD Ent as they’re parts specialists. I’d check Jay Leno’s garage since he’s got few videos covering his mod on his cars.
Regarding the engine, it pulls strong from low to high rpm. The power band is very linear and makes smooth revs for inline four. You can hear good air induction sound as the air and petro mixture is optimized with bigger valves too.

The person indicating the car is for sale is acting on behalf of the person who purchased it on BAT. In communication, he stated, “The buyer on BAT has decided he does not want the vehicle after all and is putting it up for sale.”
Buyers, please beware. This could be legitimate, but it also seems a little suspicious.
I have spoken to the BAT seller, 1600Veloce, to see if the buyer is reselling the car. When I hear something, I will let you know.

I have heard back from the original seller of the Elan. The new owner is having a hard time driving the car due to his age. The listing is legit.

Why couldn’t you just offer it for sale here, photos etc with a price,rather than just use this site to promote another site to basically get people on this site bidding against each other, if you want to sell elsewhere good luck but maybe at least offer it here 1st
