Hello again!
Took the Sprint out for a quick test yesterday after the cooling and fuel systems overhaul. Runs great but noticed the speedo not working.
I am sure it did work before going into storage 6 years ago so likely something I have done
I noticed the cable is trapped under the carbs air box pretty tight against the flat body panel under the carbs. Not sure where the cable should be routed as it comes up from the gearbox.
I have spent ages looking at elan engine bay images but nothing I can find shows me where it is routed.
Here is a couple of pics showing where mine is now
Wondering if maybe it being caught under the airbox is stopping the cable? Dont want to take the carbs off again to re-route it until I know where it should go.
Any help (maybe a picture?) would be much appreciated
