This scissor lift has been specially adjusted to suit the Elan.
It lifts the car via the bodywork at the cill area.
It’s either manually raised or lowered like a car jack or by using a battery or power drill.
I found it incredibly useful as it allows full access to the centre of the car and will lift parallel to the ground or tilt back or front.
I have a two post ramp now so is excess to requirements.

Phil, interesting..Who is the manufacturer..? What exactly did you do to adapt it for your Elan (narrowed..?) and can it be used for the Plus 2…Tony

Can’t remember who was the manufacturer but this is the model.
I cut it down (through the middle) added steel support pieces into the tubes and drilled and bolted it back together.
I have the"cuts" knocking about somewhere.
The Plus two is 2" wider than the Elan, but I wouldn’t think that would make any difference to the lift.
It’ll take apart to load into the back back of a car, with the back seat folded down ok.
