I read lots about this car and its development. If someone knew where it is, I’d be a buyer!!
Dave Brodie died recently. There was a great article about him in Octane magazine.

I tried to track this car down some years ago for my stillborn "Unusual Elans book but could not find any trace. I asked The Brode if he knew where it was and he said he had no idea either!
Did you know… it was actually a yellow car with the pinstripes masked on and then painted black over the top, then the masking tape was pulled off to create the yellow stripes! My car, pictured above, was more conventional; painted black then the gold striping was fitted.

I may have posted these years ago, but could not find them. I recall someone told me these photos were taken at the Bourne factory.

Yes no protection and when you get older you wonder why you’re huffing and puffing.
Go for a scan and they ask where you worked before. Then give you an Inhaler.

I worked for a fiberglass custom shop (briefly). Even wearing long sleeves I would scratch my arms bloody in the middle of the night. I also worked as a mechanic when Raybestos was still a thing, and used an air gun to blow the dust off backing plates. I dare not get a chest x-ray.
I believe the greatest danger with fiberglass or asbestos exposure is to smokers with a much higher rate of mesothelioma or silicosis because the tar captures the particles and holds them.

I have always thought it is the off gassing as the worst part.
I use fresh air respiration system from a gas mask and new 20ft shop vac hose to outside air
same for paint

STH10K when owned by a Mr Hardcastle in Pocklington. I bought it nearly 24 years ago from Dave Hampton. It came to me as a DHC and with a more conventional Sprint paint job; since than much has happened!

I remember watching the two Monsieur Rochas (aftershave) sponsored Elans racing at Oulton Park during the 1970’s; one was a Kosher 26/R, the other was something approaching.
One or both went to Japan; as I can’t read Japanese, I can’t say for certain.

That car was owned by a chap who lived in or near Bexley, I used to get work done by an engine reconditioning place who raced as well in Chislehurst, the workshop was on the road through Petts Wood back in the 80’s. He had pictures of the car, I think he did some of the work on it.
I know that the car was still in existence about 6/7 years back, more or less complete.
