I live in a remote region, & because of the remoteness, lightning strikes can cause massive wildfires.
NASA has a program that has developed the drones, the technology uses satellite lightning strike locations for drone attacks. Typically a small trailer with 20 to 50, two foot long two inch diameter 20 pound propeller drones which have a launch platform.
The problem is, it’s too costly to do it the NASA way.
I’m trying to figure out a Chinese or equivalent company that could produce biodegradable retardant carrying drones.
It seems to me the technology is there, there’s lots of manufacturing facilities in China that could take it on. It does not need to be NASA or SpaceX quality. They’re just a bunch of biodegradable drones that throw retardant for initial attack for ground attack the next morning.
I’m sure there’s a bunch of Technical obstacles like penetrating, thick canopy. But, I want to get more of a start on this, I’ve been working on it for a few months.
I have approached a few large engineering companies in Western Canada that are not interested, my uncle works for NASA in radar. Even he says it’s very ambitious for large scale deployment.
All I need is a small scale test.
