Hi. Thought I’d share a mod I’ve recently done to help the old girl stay cool without losing originality. I’ve fitted an override switch to the back of the facia next to the brake warning light. Power came from the radio feed. Then using a diode I’ve wired it onto the aforementioned warning light so it comes on with the fan but the handbrake doesn’t turn on the fan which it would otherwise do with a direct connection.
I did almost the same thing. The switch was bracketed off the back of the dashboard fixing screw out of sight. I drilled through the long screw and fitted a 3mm LED which shows in the centre of the screwdriver slots. It is not noticeable when not lit. Just another idea. No photo, sorry, as I am away just now.
