Canada, application to join the EU?

Hans Island is shared with Denmark, but Canada is not a European continent or country….but. Mark Carney, whats happening in the USA.

We will see eh

Further, dawgs on both sides.

The “Whisky War” over Hans Island was a friendly, decades-long territorial dispute between Canada and Denmark (representing Greenland), resolved peacefully in 2022 by splitting the barren Arctic rock, creating the world’s newest land border

what about picnics?
”The “picnic” aspect came from annual military visits where forces would replace each other’s flags and leave bottles of Canadian whisky or Danish schnapps, turning a serious claim into a polite, alcohol-fueled tradition of good-natured staking of territory.“

We share the land with EU eh!

It’s easy for Canadians with European parents/grandparents to get dual citizenship, as Canada allows it, and many EU countries (like Italy, Ireland) offer citizenship by descent (Jus Sanguinis) through parents or grandparents, though difficulty depends heavily on the specific EU country’s laws, requiring documentation of lineage. You’re not applying for “dual citizenship” but rather claiming citizenship in two countries, with the key being proving eligibility through your European ancestry and ensuring that country’s laws permit holding multiple citizenships.

No to the Annexation of Greenland

Why Any U.S. Claim on Greenland Would Destroy the Moral West — and Must Never Happen

By Gunther Fehlinger Jahn

Greenland is not for sale.
Greenland is not a colony.
Greenland is not a bargaining chip in great-power politics.
Any attempt by the United States — under Donald Trump or any future administration — to annex Greenland would place America on the same moral and legal level as Russia’s annexation of Crimea. That is a line the West must never cross.
Let me be absolutely clear:
If the United States were to annex Greenland, it would destroy the moral foundation of the free world.
Annexation Is Annexation — No Matter Who Does It
The West’s strength in confronting Russia’s war of aggression lies not only in military power, but in moral clarity. We rightly condemn Russia for violating international law, borders, and sovereignty. We impose sanctions, mobilize alliances, and support Ukraine because annexation is illegal and immoral.
If America were to annex Greenland — against the will of Denmark, Greenlanders, and Europe — then the argument against Crimea collapses overnight.
You cannot defend international law in Ukraine and violate it in the Arctic.
You cannot condemn Putin and imitate him.
Greenland Is Europe — and Europe Will Defend Its Sovereignty
Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Denmark is a sovereign European state and a loyal NATO ally. Any forced change of borders within NATO would be an unprecedented act of self-destruction of the Alliance.
Europe would have no choice but to respond politically, economically, and strategically.
Let me state this clearly, calmly, and responsibly — not as a threat, but as a logical consequence under international law and alliance principles:
If Greenland were annexed, the legitimacy of American military bases in Europe would be fundamentally called into question.
This includes key pillars of transatlantic security such as
Ramstein Air Base in Germany and Aviano Air Base in Italy, which exist only because Europe trusts the United States as a defender — not a violator — of sovereignty.
Military presence in Europe is based on consent, shared democratic values, and respect for borders — never on coercion or imperial claims.
But Let Me Be Even Clearer: This Must Never Happen
This scenario must never occur — because the United States and Europe are allies, not rivals.
NATO is the most successful alliance in human history.
Together, Europe and America are stronger than Russia, stronger than authoritarianism, and stronger than any imperial temptation.
We are united by a common mission:
Defeat Russian imperialism
Liberate Ukraine, including Crimea
Defend international law
Win the 21st century for democracy
Greenland is not a prize of empire — it is a partner in the free world.
The Real Enemy Is in Moscow, Not Copenhagen
America does not need Greenland by force.
America needs Europe united at its side.
The war that matters is not against Denmark, Greenland, or Europe — it is against Russian aggression. Any internal Western conflict would be a strategic gift to the Kremlin.
That is why I am confident:
The United States will never annex Greenland.
Europe and America will remain united.
NATO will win the war against Russia — together.
Strength comes from unity.
Victory comes from law.
And the West must always be better than its enemies.
