Hi all,
As I am sending the Plus 2 away for a chassis change, I thought whilst the interior is out I would finally sort out the audio in the car.
After 33 years of faffing around with different head units, mechless headunits became available such that we could put a decent unit in the dash, due to the restricted depth as you are all aware I’m sure.
I went for an Inphase unit about 8 years ago, trouble is I connected it to the existing speaker loom in the car, which is quite frankly rubbish.
I ripped all of the old wiring out behind the dash and discarded all of the speaker wiring, instead opting for an audio cable from the back of a headunit down to an amplifier which I have mounted to the boot floor. Along with two crossover units I now have a 300W system, new Pioneer speakers including separate tweeters.
I just lashed the wiring up today to hear what it sounded like. And at last decent audio.
Photos of the lash up attached, ready to be tided up after the chassis is changed.
Regards
Jeff
