Hi all
I have just purchased a restoration project and after removal of the dashboard have found that the heater box has disintegrated. I think that the car may have been stored outside and water has got in through the bulkhead grille and rotted the box. Does anyone have a heater box that I might be able to purchase? I am in East Sussex, UK.

Thanks to those who replied. I thought that it might be difficult to obtain this part but I had three kind offers from UK based owners and have accepted one of them.
Hi, I’m afraid these are pretty difficult to get, I fabricated a new box and bought a new heater core from https://thecarheatershop.co.uk/shop/classic-lotus-elan-heater-matrix/ . I’m not sure this helps you but I thought I’d pass the information on.
Alternatively you could buy a landrover series 2 heater box complete and alter to fit, they are basically the same.

I have a heater box and matrix in decent shape with a fan wheel. Unfortunately, no motor. It is yours if you want it, but shipping from the west coast of the US is the cost. Unfortunately shipping cost is estimated around $140 US.

As a result of my post and a similar one on one of the Lotus Elan Facebook pages, I have had three owners make contact with potential options in the UK, but thank you for the offer. I see that you are in the San Francisco Bay Area - we were there in October, initially staying in Rockridge to visit the city and then touring to the Sequoia National Forest, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe.
