First, thanks to everyone that replied to my question on heater connections.
This concerns the wipe/wash switch connections on my early 1969 Elan Plus2.
The old switch had 4 male spade terminals and one female spade terminal. The wash worked as a pump action.
I’m replacing the old switch with a more modern Cole hersee wash/wipe switch.
The connections to the female spade terminal on the old switch came from the fuse box and fed the oil guage and the indicator flasher.
- Does this old arrangement seem correct?
- If I’m replacing the switch do the need to provide a new feed for the oil gauge and indicator flasher unit?
Please excuse me if I’m missing something obvious my autoelectric skills are weak almost to non-existent.
Thanks
