Well today we headed off to the Royal Cheshire Show…
Mainly a farming show and the sun blazing down all day.
AND… Look how big the Chevy is next to the S4

That light blue sets the car off perfectly … these cars look so ‘pretty’ in the right colour.
Prefer the Lagoon Blue personally…

155 mile round trip from home up to Northamptonshire and back.
On the way up it was via mainly B roads, including the wonderful Elan road, the B1039 from Wendens Ambo to Royston, up along the Royston Downs. Very light on traffic, miles of wonderful corners, some good long straights every now and again for a quick blast and lovely villages.
Return trip was against the clock, so some dual carriageway, mostly the A14 70 mph traffic jam, but off the M11 and through Grantchester and then down the A1301 and onto the B184 to Saffron Walden and onwards to home in Great Dunmow.
Car was running well and the driver smiled - a lot!

30 mile round trip to a nice farm shop, shakedown drive following recent replacement of front dampers.
I drove it in the rain, for the first time in my ownership. Wiper motor is weak, wiper arm gearboxes are sloppy, the arm springs are tired, and the blades were shot. I cobbled some blades using SUV rear window parts, they work well enough for now. The rest of it gets added to the to-do list.
The CA67 Pirellis felt very confident in the wet. Whew!

Agree. The tread pattern and compound work really well in the wet.
Drove to Harpenden for this years Classics on the Common. I was joined by friend John in his Morgan.
Great turnout of over 1000 vehicles. I only spotted one other Elan and a couple of Plus 2s, one early one. The burgers at the Silver pub were as good as last year! Elan behaved very well, despite the long traffic jams both arriving and leaving.

today I drove to the delightful Hankham Motor Works for an MOT for my +2. A nice old local garage to Pevensey Bay staffed by proper mechanics and car enthusiasts. This is a place they fix cars and diagnose problems from years of experience.
passed with no advisories, that’s piece of mind and due diligence for another year😁
Drove to Ickworth House to spend time with grandchildren walking around the fabulous park there.
Wonderful drive along Elan roads via Finchingfield and Clare.
The Sprint undercover in the car park.

And look what I came up behind at the Clare T junction!
1/2 dozen bags of mulch?
Macca, what red is your sprint, it looks darker than usual. Vaughan
Hi,
Why no side lights?
@atthelimit which photo are you referring to? The yellow federal S4 coupe has side repeaters built into the ends of the bumper/fender. and side lights (little thimble things) are not required in the US so they are blank.
I didn’t know that, looks a little odd though, I think I’d put sidelights in to make it look right even if they were not wired up!
@atthelimit are you referring to the orange side lights above the front wheels or the white thimble side lights below the bumpers? As @Spyder_fan notes, Federal cars placed them on the side of the bumpers. I prefer the look of the Federal car fenders sans light, but the cleaner bumpers of the non-Federal cars. If you mean the white thimble lights, they are there.
HI
I took the car to a paint specialist to get a match of a touch up and they said the nearest match was ford carnival red but im not so sure
