Janus,
A āGold Leaf Elanā is only a Sprint painted in Gold Leaf colours, that is (was?) a cigarette company who I think were sponsoring Lotus in F1 at the time, same goes for a āJPSā car (black and gold)
Gold Leaf colours were red/white and gold (someone correct me if Iām wrong) so this Elan is not technically a Gold Leaf but it looks like a very nice car.

how did you find it outā¦Iām still learning ]
Find out what? if you are refering to the oil leak, it can be seen under the car in the first pic and on the exhaust on the second picā¦could be leaking from the slave cyl. although thereās a bit to much on the ground, most likely its the rear crank seal but thats a guess.
From the second pic it looks like its been recently painted black underneath (including the sump!) probably for sale.
Have you driven the car? is it on Webers/Dellotors?
Lets see a pic of the engine.
Brian
Fun and Games. When does a paint job have anything to do with the driveability or performance of any automobile? When itās a Lotus Elan. Has this car been repainted? Check the chassis closely, that underside picture is scary and the price even more so.
