A little background on the system, I purchased it over 14 years ago from a fellow who had it in his Lotus 7 replica. First, I purchased the EFI system, then he offered the whole engine as well. He said the entire system worked very well, but he wanted to step up the power and install a SVT engine. So here I am 14 years trying to put the pieces back together in a 1971 Elan.
Apparently, he had one of the filters sucking dirty air from the engine as it appears one of the filters was connected directly to the cam cover (see pic). If so, it might be easy to repeat this.
I’m not sure what he was using to purge the crankcase. I suppose I could your suggestion and set up a catch can to accomplish this. Actually, I could use a single catch can for both.
Regarding the ICV and MAP (pictured) please note the air intake joint on the balance tubes. Do you think he used this source for the ICV and MAP?
