Wow, what a wonderful opportunity for someone! Get ripped off for only £51,995 to acquire this magnificent and very, very rare car! It’s got a black badge on the bonnet which makes it very, very rare and worth so much more than any other cooking S4.

Oh, and not one photo of the very, very rare black badge engine.

Me cynical? Surely not.

So who was Jim Clarke :open_mouth:

Got a black badge on mine need to speak with my insurers  :unamused:

Saw this at the NEC Show a couple of weeks ago.
Very average condition with lots of non-standard features, especially the position of the front indicator repeaters.
Not a good buy, even with a £30,000 discount (but add £75 for the black badge).

Well a standard yellow/green badge would look simply awful against those lovely black bumpers.

Surely the car is worth the asking price. It is being sold by Kim Cairns, a car dealer, whoever she is :unamused:

Quick buy it before someone snaps it up!

Kim Cairns is a car dealer in North Norfolk, close to Snettisham from memory. 30+ years ago when we lived in that area he had a good reputation, but times and people change.

At that price I did wonder what value was added by having all the original paperwork including its service book, any guesses?

He’s a trier !

He is certainly trying my patience.

‘At that price I did wonder what value was added by having all the original paperwork including its service book, any guesses?’

Eer, not £30k.

Leslie

But there are photos on the asphalt AND the grass!

The glovebox doesn’t look to be a wood veneer as it is black. Was this an option on the S4, or something only found on the rare Black Badge cars

Must have Bette Davis eyes

I too saw this car at the NEC show. Good from far, far from good as the saying goes. I especially like the fact they stated they had ”completely refurbished the alloy wheels”. I see they have altered that now. They also had photos of the car as bought and it had really been bodged about in the past with a slatted front like a modern MG TF which is why they’ve do done the bodywork. Never in a million years is it worth £50+k. Assuming all the mechanicals are good then £30k because if you wanted to replace the side repeaters with original items not the cheap nasty things they used and put the in them in the right place, dealt with the resultant holes that need to be filled and painted / a new dash to get rid of that awful black leatherette glove box / paint the bumpers you’ve probably spent a couple of grand with labour and I pretty sure that a black badge does not make up a £20k difference!

But if it does there’ll be a rush on black badges, better get my order in now!
