Hi everyone
I have an S1 which has never had any door seals. Can anyone help me with pictures of the correct seals and how/where they fit?
Info on who sells them also gratefully received!!
Thanks
JK
The pictures I posted last week should give you the info you need regarding the door seal positioning.

Others may be able to give more advice on sourcing them.
Their effectiveness however, is another thing altogether

Tx - seems to be a combination on door and shell?

The seals are glued to the door. There is a thread on S2 door seals here:

I replaced the driver’s side seals on my car - not an easy job - but they were pretty ineffective due to poor door fit. I supplemented them with some self-adhesive closed cell foam strips to reduce the gales blowing in.
I took a lot of before-and-after pictures - will try to post some in that thread. One thing to be aware of is that there is a double run of the seal along the bottom edge of the door, and the two runs split and go around the latch mechanism. That should be clear from the photos.

I’m looking forward to see your photos. I know for sure that my car is incorrect and will get around to replacing them someday. Interested to hear that there was a split run around locking mechanism.
When in daily use during the 80’s I used all manner of seals to try & keep dry. I even ended up having two special pieces that fitted over the top of the window glass for the really bad weather, this helped the seal against the cant rail rubber seal that was always suspect.
Cheers
