Hello all,
Does anyone know what the cubic centimeter capacity of a stock twin-cam head might be?
Thanks,
Tim

Hi.
I posted the volume I measure for my head.
I think it was around 37cc for each combustion chamber, but might be worth checking the original post
Tim
Based on back calculating from known component dimensions plus checking on unmolested heads the sprint head was 36cc combustion chamber and the standard head was 38 cc combustion chamber.
cheers
Rohan
Thanks for the information.
I’ve been looking at rebuilding my engine, and having a set of pistions made for it. I called or e-mailed probably every piston manufacturer to find the best deal. The company that I chose, although they listed the TC piston in their catalog, would not quote unless i gave them a bunch of information, including the cc of the cylinder head.
As I didn’t have the engine apart, I didn’t have the info; so now their happy.

Just had my engine back from rebuild and dyno run … capacity 36.3 cc’s. See “S4 dyno results” under elan section.
