I understand the propshaft can be removed with the gearbox (4 speed) and engine in situ. Anyone done it recently?
I understand the propshaft has to go through the chassis hole with the gearbox resting at the bottom of the hole. It looks rather tight, and I have a modified chassis from the 80’s with strengthening fillets on the shock towers.
I do not know if the chassis hole that the gearbox goes into is smaller than standard . Does anyone have measurements on this hole for the standard lotus +2 chassis?
