hello guys,
I’m trying to get as much info as i can during rebuild of my twin cam and am struggling to identify my pistons.
they are AE branded. the numbers inside read:
20343B
DE 2
AE…
92
G1
no markings as to std or +anything.
ive measured them with the micrometer across the gudgeon pin level at 83.42mm (3.284")
still trying to figure it out but seems that should be around +. 030?
i cant seem to find any useful internet info about part numbers, even having found an old AE- NURAL interchange reference.
If you were to add piston to bore clearance of 0.003" that would give you a bore size of 3.287" which is closer to +040" (3.290") than it is to +030" (3.280").
What is the biggest measurement you get on the skirts regardless of how high or low on the skirt you measure?
I can’t help with clearly identifying the piston numbers other than saying it’s not the “usual” Lotus piston numbers I’ve seen here in the UK.
