Dear All
Does anyone have their sump off at the moment, the reason i ask is that i would like the measurement of the dangly bits (crank counterweights, big ends, etc?) by how much they protrude into the sump(from the block) so that i can work out the highest i can fill the sump to without the oil being picked up by moving parts.
thanks in advance
John
John,
I haven’t got a T.C. in peices but I do have an Xflow with the sump off, if no one else has a T.C. stripped I will measure it. The (1600) Xflow has a slightly longer stroke (77.62) as opposed to 72.75 for a T.C.

That would be excellent as i’ve a long stroke crank in mine anyway
Thanks
John
P.S. don’t let that stop you with shorter stroke cranks having a measure,i’m sure it’ll come in handy
John
John,
The distance between the lowest point of the crank throw (the big end cap) to the sump face varies between + - 72mm to + - 75mm depending on which b/e cap is checked, the caps are of differing thickness.
