beautiful! you’re a man with taste! I too have a pair, but not the same colors like your twins.
my M100 is mustard yellow and my Sprint is Lagoon Blue over white.
I love showing people the cars, telling them they are both Elans. One a '73, the other 18 years later.
I think your tacho is broken
Good eyes.
Almost the same thing - It?s unable to cope with my electronic ignition.
But after 25 years, my ears tell me when to shift.
I should get it modified.
Mike
Since we are looking for nit picks are the wipers on the early Elan on the correct side? I though (there’s part of the problem) that wipers on LHD were set to the right and on RHD they were set to the left.
Fabulous pair of red Elans.
Fabulous pair of white Elans. Is the engine out of the S4?
In the home straight with the Elite.
My LHD Elan is set up the same way as modern LHD cars, with the wipers parking on the right. After a quick search on Google images though, I’m finding a pattern: seems like the baby Elans, regardless of RHD or LHD, park the wipers on the right while the +2s park them on the left for RHD and right for LHD.
That’s a lot of rights and lefts.
Edit: NICE PLATES
Ok, here?s an updated picture. I haven?t really ever had a top in/on the car so wipers are a bit redundant. This is SoCal where it rarely rains. So I put the wipers in the trunk with the front number plate, tow rope, battery charger and wheel nut wrench. I don?t think I saw a jack though. Hmmm.
(Got a new top at Donington when I painted the car but it?s still in the box where it?s been 25 yrs )
I have two in bodyshop so cannot post a picture of 4 yet. (4 kids = 4 Elans!) Will do when they are back.
Please put me down for two (two pair that is…)
That is just downright greed.
Well, as long as your going to show Lotus cars that aren?t Elan?s I can join that club too
Wow! There are some real Lotus fanatics here…congrats to the multi Owners above two cars!
Nice collection Gino!
Isn’t it interesting. One is definitely not enough! The joy of multiples is you can experiment and compare. I am planning to do a T5 gearbox swap and will try it to start with the really long (0.63) 5th to start to see if that resolves the issue of motorway work. Will put a 3.55 in one othe others and compare.
