It is certainly different being an Elan owner! After sorting out the back end, diff, output shafts and doughnuts car has been a joy to drive, however…, after I collected the car within 5 miles from the garage lost all brake pedal! Topped up master cylinder and pedal returned with no problems. When I arrived at home crawled underneath to find the leak and could see nothing. Subsequently parked over dry papers and still no sign of a leak. Prevailed upon my mate Nick and used the lift in his workshop and went over the underside with a fine toothcomb and still no sign of a leak. Only conclusion was that fluid was being drawn into the servo unit. (never exeprienced this before!) This was confirmed by the clouds of white smoke at start up this morning. Cleared when I disconnected the vac hose back to the manifold, returned when reconnected.
SO
Is this a rebuild of the servo and if so anyone know of a source of a kit?
OR
Does the cylinder attached to the servo need rebuilding and if so anyone know of a source for a seal kit?
OR OR
Do I need to do both??
Echo’s well in here doesn’t it…

The first question is what type of servo do you have?
The original is Girling but often these have been replaced with a Lockheed unit. Paul Matty offers replacement Lockheed servos and kits, presumably for the Girling unit.
See link below and check out the brakes section.
I would either completly replace or rebuild the entire unit, depending upon how much wear you find.

There’s some on ebay
?134.50 Item number: 110015796236 with fitting kit
?128.00 Item number: 320012533541 without fitting kit (if you already have this type fitted)
If your’s is a Lockheed and it’s sucking up fluid then the cylinder will allmost definitely need resleeveing, and its the same price to get a new one !
I think the original Girling servos are worth having reconditioned.
