Umberto,
Beautiful car. I see you even went to the trouble of replacing the “power bulge” bonnet with a flat one. I do have a few questions.
I see a couple of hoses in the engine compartment beneath the air intake hose. Could these be for an oil cooler and if so, what kind is it and where did you get it?
I see a small rectangular thingy above the window switches just beneath the radio blanking plate. What is this?
There is something hanging from the passenger footwell. Could this be an emergency bonnet release?
Thanks for sharing pictures of your car with us.
Hello Frank,
are you Sherlock Homes? Good questions:
- yes, the previous owner installed a oil cooler (radiator, i don’t know in english); it is in the front of the nose, just behind the grille
- the black rectangular is a simple handle to remove easly the cover of radio hole; i installed in the hole two tacheometr for bicycle; i need it for regularity race in order to follow the roadbook.
- on passenger footwell there is a rope; it is the simple system to open/close the headlamp; it is a sailship system instead of the original vacuum system. ita has been installed from the previous owner when he decided to move the water radiator from the original position into the nose, he must remove all was in the nose for a matter of space.
Always at your full disposal. do you have an elan? which one?

Very nice car Umberto. More questions, if you don’t mind: I see your throttle cable runs parallel with the hood/bonnet release. Where does it go at the carb side? I don’t see any connections.
Any pictures of the exhaust? I’m always on the lookout for unique, clean looking systems.
Thanks,

Thank you. The trottle cable goes down under the carb and comes up from the bottom in between the two carb to the lever.
Which part of the exhaust you need to see? the mainfold, the terminal silencer?
Regards,
Umberto
Terminal silencer.
Thanks
