You may be able to get Pilkington to ship directly to different places from their US center instead of them being shipped to one customer & then you doing the shipping to individual people. I organized a bulk buy several years ago & they did it for me.

Thanks Keith! In reading the earlier posts in the thread, I had surmised that the US group was closed (at least the ones that handled classic glass). Are you speaking of a group that still exists?

I haven’t been in contact with them since I made the order, so I don’t know if they are still open or not. I was just passing on what I was able to do, but it was around 10 years ago.

Dank eines umgefallenen Astes musste ich mich schließlich intensiv mit diesem Thema befassen – und meine Erkenntnisse waren nicht gut.
Pilkington Classics hat während COVID tatsächlich den Betrieb eingestellt und ist in den USA nicht mehr präsent; alle Webanfragen gehen wieder nach Großbritannien.
RDent (Ray @ RD Enterprises) hat keinen Lagerbestand und keinen Lieferanten.
Jemand von Fesler (ein US-amerikanischer Autoglas-Verteiler) sagte mir, dass sie einige von Pilkington in Großbritannien bestellen könnten, aber sie erwarteten, dass die Lieferung 1–3 Jahre dauern würde.
Also kenne ich nur Lieferanten von neuen Scheiben im Vereinigten Königreich, entweder direkt von Pilkington oder über einen Einzelhändler wie Sue Miller; dann steht man vor enormen Versandkosten ($500+ ?), dem Risiko von Transportschäden und Trumps Zöllen.
