ELAN S3 Restoration, Before and After- the story continues

Thanks all for your suggestions. Well the car is parked in garage, and ready for troubleshooting and reassembly. So far, all I have done is dust off the layer of shop dirt that collected over the many months at the paint shop. I am anxious to start work, but need to complete an inventory of what I have and what I need. After 18 months I really don’t recall where I left off. Thankfully I borrowed a 67 Elan SE, from a friend, to act as a guide car for assembly. I labeled most of the removed bits in 2024, and purchased many new parts back then, and inadvertently avoided the tariffs!

I would like to source some new silver bumpers and will check with Dave Bean tomorrow. Going to reinstall rear lights and some miscellaneous bits, just for some easy fun. Following this will work on the fuel system. Brake hydraulics and clutch are also inop. Thankfully I think most of the electrics are in good order. I upgraded the window motors. The suspension needs review as the car sits up very high. There’s a lot to uncover here, but it should be a fun journey. A blank slate to work with. Here’s another “before” photo of the interior. Not quite as nice as the exterior..Note to self: need to buy some good protection mats for any engine bay work. Cheers guys! More to follow-
