Door wiring

I’m in the final stages of completing the restoration of my +2 and about to put the doors back on.

I was hoping someone could send me some pictures and dimensions of the tubes that protect the wiring from the body to the door.

If I recall they are about 15mm diameter with a flange on one end that screws to the body.

If have lost the original ones an need to remake some.

Thanks

This may help. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=47064&p=339603&hilit=+door#p339603

Just measured the outside diameter of my door tubes: just over 13mm.

I recently rewired my doors, including upgrading the live ‘up’ and ‘down’ and earth wires to the window motors. See my 3 Jan 2024 post on improving the window speed. I also used LEDs for the red door opening and white puddle lamps, less current.

Modern thin walled automotive cable is the answer: half the thickness of the Lotus originals so you can have more current capacity to the motors and still go thru the tubes easily…

Thank you all.

I may have some 3D printed and painted body colour.
