Hi Elan enthusisats,
I acquired a restoration project of +2 130/5 convertible(not running) last year, only this year I have time to start the work.
The car has only 15K miles on the odometer and has a QED port & polish head. Last week, I overhauled the Dellorto pair in order to make it running again. After putting them back with a re-built kit, I then noticed something wrong with them, there was no pump jet in the carbs! that’s why I had so many small O-rings leftover!
I just wonder were the pump jets removed with purpose? to improve acceleration?
In addition, if I snap open the throttle valve, the pump lever move down about 2mm. Is this 2mm stroke sufficient to pump extra fuel for sudden acceleration?
Thanks in advance for any input.
