There is a known bug within Apple’s IOS 26. When using an iPhone or iPad using IOS26,parts of the screen will go blank when trying to compose a post. Apple is rolling out a fix. apple has not issued a release date.

We have a new feature added to the forums. When you use the search tool, you will now see thumbnails of any images in the post. This will allow you to quickly search for and view posts that include images in their responses.
If you only want to see images, in the advanced filters, select “has images” in the “only return topics/posts” filter option.

I’ve been working on improving the ability to respond to forum posts via email. Previously, we were using a setup that was, let’s just say, held together with points, condensers, and a bit of old Lucas wiring. It worked… but not very well.
We’ve now upgraded to a much more modern and reliable approach.
When you receive an email notification for a private message or a forum post, you’ll now see the following at the bottom of the email:
If you see the line “or reply to this email”, you can simply reply directly from your email. Your response will be posted to the forum just like a normal reply.
As an added benefit, responses are now near real-time. The old system had a 5–10 minute delay, which has now been eliminated.
Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
Note: This change means that all old emails with the reply option will not work. They are directed to the old system that has been shut down.

Nous sommes dans les premières étapes des tests d’un outil de traduction en temps réel. Initialement, je souhaite ajouter l’outil de traduction pour le français, l’allemand et le japonais. Nous avons pas mal de visites en provenance de ces pays/langues. L’objectif est de proposer un endroit où tous les propriétaires d’Elan peuvent se réunir, même s’ils ne parlent pas anglais.

Avez-vous des magiciens linguistiques prêts à s’occuper des bugs de traduction inévitables ? 
Moi, personnellement, je pense que c’est une idée brillante et un excellent ajout au site. Je suis convaincu que nous sommes assez intelligents pour pouvoir résoudre ou contourner les éventuels problèmes qui pourraient survenir à mesure que la technologie évolue.
Petite parenthèse : les AirPods d’Apple tentent une traduction en temps réel, il semble donc que le poisson Babel de Ford Prefect soit à l’horizon. J’aimerais voir cette technologie dans mes aides auditives…
