A Merry and safe Christmas to all

As I will be offline till after Christmas and I just wanted to wish all a Merry Christmas. While I no longer have an Elan I still visit regularly and enjoy our distance camaraderie.

Take care all,
Mike

Merry Christmas —I hope Santa con bring you another ?lan or maybe an Elise —ed

And Merry Christmas from me… and the opportunity to say thank you for all the help and advice you chaps have given me over the last year.

Have a good one… Cheers!

Would just like to give thanks to all those who made my life a little easier in getting my Elan on the road. The list is long. Now it I could just get some temperature in this beast. A quick trip early this morning up to Irvine, CA for Cars and Coffee, was more than a bit nippy. It was 1c/34f when I left this morning. Couldn’t get the car up to more than 71c/160f, and that was after 40 miles of driving. By then I was close to numb. Have a 90c/195f thermostat, but it still will not get up to a good operating temperature. More work to be done.

Have a safe and merry, and thanks to all.

Rob

Assuming all else is well, try a winter-rated thermostat (70 degrees C)
OR
a piece of stiff cardboard covering half the radiator (which can be increased/decreased in size as per the results of roadtesting).

Regards and Seasons Greetings to all,
Stuart.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and “added lightness” in the coming year!
