Gidday,
We have owned our car for a few years now, unfortunately it has been off the road for far to long due to other commitments. That is about to be changed.
The chassis # is 0053M. I assume this puts it as an early car. Is there a +2 register or does anybody have access to ID’s to give me a bit of original history of the car such as build date and if it was exported immediately?
I live in Australia and am aware of its recent history.
Thanks,
Les.
Gidday,
Thanks for the helpful replies and the ‘E’ address.
I contacted CB and he cofirmed the matching engine an chassis numbers as well as the build date.
My chassis # ends in M denoting an export car.
It was sold in primer.
Geoghegan’s the Australian importer at that time were shown as the purchaser, they imported several cars in Primer.
So I am a happy chappy !!
In the SCW archive there is a category marked ‘N’, followed by several digets. Any idea what this denote ?
Thanks again,
Les.
“N” denotes a Federal (meaning U.S. market) +2S. Either the Service Manual or Service Parts List (perhaps both) has a section explaining the alpha codes.
The +2 I looked at earlier in the year was in avalon which is not that far from you as I thought you lived in the northern beaches area this was a early 68 car in red, I guess you haven’t crossed paths yet
