Any essential or handy do’s or don’ts for completing a FULL lub Elan +2 1969
Like grease or oil in the trunnions?
John
Groil!
Actually, I use oil, but with some Proma MBL8 additive:

It’s a lot easier (in my experience) to get the oil into the trunnions with a grease gun than grease!

A “Full Lube” involves so much more than just chassis components.
The distributor cam-to-points needs lube.
Pedal linkages need lube, as do rear parking brake links.
Many, many little things (in old cars) need lube.
Rack-and-pinion. Stromberg dampers. Cables. Hinges.
Most electric connections need cleaning - and a squirt of WD-40.
Bushings on electric motors (windows, wipers, blowers, etc.) dry out.
After 40 years all of the grease has gone away - and need help.
Don’t grease the brake pads.
