Coming up for auction with Iconic at Supercar Fest is this 1971 Sprint DHC project, estimated at £10-15k, long term owner since 1976. It has had a respray to white, though it left the factory as Pistachio over White, as a DHC and with the fitted engine, though the Webers have been replaced by Dellortos at some stage.

The description is a bit optimistic, I am not sure I would describe this as needing ‘recommissioning’, a full ground up restoration seems more the ticket.
Having said that, it appears to be a genuine DHC Sprint, and also seems to be complete with all the tricky bits to source. Even at £10K, it probably still wouldn’t be worth it to rebuild, but as the basis of a project it could be a good start.
Has to be the most hideous steering wheel that I have ever seen on an Elan… Isn’t that a tricky part to source?
